I would like to thank you for visiting my humble abode. Your visit brings great tribute to my Website and makes me smile. My Books cover a range of genres: Spirituality, religion, prayer, non-fiction, self-help, inspirational, and children. I plan to write my first fictional Trilogy soon and explore other genres to help avid readers appreciate the literary world a little more. However, if you ask me what I would like to be known as an author, I would say without much hesitation, “Inspirational Author!” The reason I enjoy writing about inspirational topics for adults and children is because I would like to lift up people and bring hope to the world.
Perhaps it is part of my profession as a spiritual leader – pastor and chaplain. I have been asked to give speeches at religious gatherings, social events, legislature sessions, dedication celebrations, school ceremonies, and pep talks for sports teams. The topic that most people usually appreciate hearing from me has been inspirational. But, I think the main reason I love writing inspirational books is because of my life experiences. As a survivor of the Viet Nam War and an immigrant, I have had to overcome a plethora of life hurdles and valleys of death to see the dawn of a new day. Without good role models and caring benefactors to inspire me and give me hope, I would simply give in to the mishaps of my life and become hopeless.
Our world is currently facing a lot of mental health problems and exponential increase of suicides. We have found no medication or treatment to cure those problems. Maybe my books can bring inspiration and hope to those victims in their dark nights of the soul and help them find a new life. Let me leave with you this uplifting quote from my book “Inspiration Coffee & Wisdom Tea: Daily Delights at the Divine Coffeehouse”: “Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul, and sings the tune without the words, and never stops at all; and sweetest in the gale is heard.” (Emily Dickinson (1830-86), September 15).
